27" brown trout, my largest ever. It was the sub-dominant fish in its pool. After this, I hooked the bigger one, but I couldn't land it.

Andros Island, Bahamas It took me twenty minutes to tire this fish. It kept running out into the ocean (we were on an ocean flat) and it just could not be stopped, or turned, for about 15 minutes. This fish was vicious and jumped three feet into the air.

Missouri Winter Fishing The glassy waters of the Current a short distance below camp Not a great quality pic, but the possibility of finding a big brown in this pool has crossed the mind of more than one angler. I know its full of rainbows. A typical rainbow from the Current River caught on an egg pattern from the pool shown above. A nice riffle on the Current River. It's usually good for a rainbow or two, and the beautiful, pine covered hill that rises above it makes it an ideal place to wet a line . This brush lined pool always looks great, but seems to have a rather high chub:trout ratio.

Nicely colored up hen, probably has been in the creek a few weeks. Very strong fish, jumped repeatedly and almost put me in the backing. An example of a very bright and fresh fish. May have come up from the lake the day before. Lovely pool with great green water, deep slots, and many fish. We caught many fish from this pool. You can see the deeper colored areas - that is where the steelhead like to lie - I have no idea why I look like such a doofus in this picture. Exact same piece of water as the prior fish except this one is a minnow.

Fall Smallmouth and end of season brown trout This brown is 20"+ long and is a great example of a wild Delaware grown trout. Another very nice streamer caught brown of about 18". Sorry for putting the fish on the stoney background but it was released in seconds and it quickly swam away no worst for the experience. It is about 19" long. Last brown of the 2013 trout season - the picture makes the fish look small but it was a very thick and robust brown about 19" long. Very strong 16" smallmouth in very good condition with a thick body and just a gorgeous fish.

The Blue Ribbon water on the Current River. It is full of brown trout, but midday during a summer heat wave isn't the best time to find them. Part of the spring branch that feeds into the Current in Montauk Park. This section is quite pretty..but also allows bait fishing. It's too crowded to be worth a fly fisherman's time for the most part. Sorry for the low quality photo.....but this is the catch and release stream in Montauk State Park. Finding fish is not difficult on the catch and release section....... A spring-fed pond in Montauk State Park
