The famous nocturnal Hex hatch of the Midwest (and a few other lucky locations) stirs to the surface mythically large brown trout that only touch streamers for the rest of the year.
This one pretty clearly keys to Kogotus, but it also looks fairly different from specimens I caught in the same creek about a month later in the year. With only one species of the genus known in Washington, I'm not sure about the answer to this ID.

Make sure you all look for Dr. Tony's new book:
"A Liver Runs Through It".
It's the heart warming story of a doctor, a scalpel, and his blond, flop-eared psychic mongrel retriever, BO.
Thrill to the adventures of the Alaskan bush doctor who has no patients, but spends a lot of time in the wilderness talking to his faithful companion, Bo.
"Ruff, ruff, ruff, ruff," says the psychic canine one day to Dr. Tony. "It does indeed look like snow," replies the doctor.
Palpitating exchanges such as this are not the exception in this tome.
