Pteronarcys californica

The giant Salmonflies of the Western mountains are legendary for their proclivity to elicit consistent dry-fly action and ferocious strikes.

Dorsal view of a Skwala (Perlodidae) (Large Springfly) Stonefly Nymph from the Yakima River in Washington
This Skwala nymph still has a couple months left to go before hatching, but it's still a good representative of its species, which was extremely abundant in my sample for a stonefly of this size. It's obvious why the Yakima is known for its Skwala hatch.
27" brown trout, my largest ever. It was the sub-dominant fish in its pool. After this, I hooked the bigger one, but I couldn't land it.

I'm looking for cheaper fly fishing gloves (preferably fold over mitts) for under $60. This are gloves that are meant for -10 temps not 30 degrees. I'm looking for some high quality and warm mitts. Would be of big help to share your ideas below, thanks.

I have a pair of these gloves. I like them. When it is really cold I keep a hand warmer in my outer wader pocket and when my fingers get really cold I take the gloves off for a few minutes and warm them up.

Sweet gloves! They look like they excellent for gripping but are they warm enough?

Adirman,

To tell you the truth it has been so long since I have worn them in cold weather that I just don't remember if they kept me warm enough or not. I'll put them on one cold day and see if they keep my hands warm and report back to you.
