Tiny Baetis mayflies are perhaps the most commonly encountered and imitated by anglers on all American trout streams due to their great abundance, widespread distribution, and trout-friendly emergence habits.

With a bit of help from the microscope, this specimen keys clearly and unsurprisingly to Hydropsyche.
27" brown trout, my largest ever. It was the sub-dominant fish in its pool. After this, I hooked the bigger one, but I couldn't land it.

I don't feel quite so bad about not taking pictures that cool when I read about all the fancy setup he did to take them in a studio setting, rather than in the wild, but I also agree with his argument that that's a legitimate way to make some awesome artwork.

That looks like a very small trout or salmon - what is it and what trout has all those large spots on such a tiny body?

It's one of the indigenous Japanese salmonids. Neat images, but obviously manipulated. I've done it too, as a method of illustration.
