Hex Mayflies
Hexagenia limbata

The famous nocturnal Hex hatch of the Midwest (and a few other lucky locations) stirs to the surface mythically large brown trout that only touch streamers for the rest of the year.

27" brown trout, my largest ever. It was the sub-dominant fish in its pool. After this, I hooked the bigger one, but I couldn't land it.

Jason, did you our buddy, Brad Bohen's video posted on the Field & Stream Fly Talk blog?

This should be great for Brad's Musky Country Outfitters (http://www.muskycountryoutfitters.com/).
