Blue-winged Olives
Baetis

Tiny Baetis mayflies are perhaps the most commonly encountered and imitated by anglers on all American trout streams due to their great abundance, widespread distribution, and trout-friendly emergence habits.

This one seems to lead to Couplet 35 of the Key to Genera of Perlodidae Nymphs and the genus Isoperla, but I'm skeptical that's correct based on the general look. I need to get it under the microscope to review several choices in the key, and it'll probably end up a different Perlodidae.
27" brown trout, my largest ever. It was the sub-dominant fish in its pool. After this, I hooked the bigger one, but I couldn't land it.

I'm a big fan of YouTube and have a few notorious videos that are good enough I've watched a few times. Most of this has been out for awhile, so maybe you've seen it.

This kid is fairly new to You Tube. He goes to college in Muskegon and does a lot of vids in Michigan and Ohio. He did a vid that went viral showing a massive run of Coho in Northern Michigan. Part of it he used a drone in a Federal park which is against the law, that video unfortunately has been taken down.

Well that's it for now. Anyone got anything to share please post it.

See right above the box where you are getting ready to type your reply to this post. At the end of that line that starts "For help formatting . . . " you'll find a link to the "forum code page" that explains how do all kinds of things with text, including making links active. I'm using a command before the URL and a slightly different command following the URL to activate the URL below. The command becomes invisible when you post, but it changes the text.

There are fancier things that can be done, but I'm too lazy. Enjoy the video.

First time seeing this, but it's worthy.

If nothing else, great camera work.

I always laugh at what I see western state fly fishers call small. They have no trees to contend with. Same small water as in MI, but ours here is lined w trees and brush.

They don't know what stealth wading is.

For the last couple months I've been thinking of a trip out west. Ever since my brother, who typically takes a couple vacations out of state a year, ask me if wanted to go anywhere around spring break. I said no and he kinda rolled his eyes.

I don't take vacations out of state, in fact I rarely take more than a few days off extra at a time. Those times I go up North, MI to fish.

This video might be the tipping point. When I think Montana I think huge trout rivers. Never thought of seeing small stuff like this. I'd like to fish those big rivers but didn't really think about finding small stuff like this.
