The famous nocturnal Hex hatch of the Midwest (and a few other lucky locations) stirs to the surface mythically large brown trout that only touch streamers for the rest of the year.

27" brown trout, my largest ever. It was the sub-dominant fish in its pool. After this, I hooked the bigger one, but I couldn't land it.

A boat had orignally been though to have been stolen and I copied the post and put it up here. The boat was found floating in the upper Gamelands of the West Branch of the Delaware by the owner of a fly shop in Roscoe, NY.
