This dun emerged from a mature nymph on my desk. Unfortunately its wings didn't perfectly dry out.
27" brown trout, my largest ever. It was the sub-dominant fish in its pool. After this, I hooked the bigger one, but I couldn't land it.

A fellow trout nut that came up fishing trout in the UP of Michigan as well as steelhead and trout all over lower Michigan with my father and grandfather (luckilly still do). I have recently relocated to Rochester Minnesota and am continuing the persuit of trout in South Eastern Minnesota, where the larget brown on an fly(21.5" female) i have had the pleasure to catch and release has come from.
