Hexagenia limbata

The famous nocturnal Hex hatch of the Midwest (and a few other lucky locations) stirs to the surface mythically large brown trout that only touch streamers for the rest of the year.

27" brown trout, my largest ever. It was the sub-dominant fish in its pool. After this, I hooked the bigger one, but I couldn't land it.

Biography & Thoughts
Hi, I come from France but regularly fish in North America, Northwest, and Quebec. I love small stream fishing with dries, or swinging wets just as much as throwing streamers for big lake trouts.
