Blue-winged Olives

Tiny Baetis mayflies are perhaps the most commonly encountered and imitated by anglers on all American trout streams due to their great abundance, widespread distribution, and trout-friendly emergence habits.

True Fly Family Dolichopodidae

I have not found any reference to these flies in the angling literature and they are likely never important to match. However, I did find a few sweeping a net through the grass overhanging a small mountain trout stream.
