This seems to be a young larva of Limnephilus. Although not clear in the picture, several ventral abdominal segments have chloride epithelia.

Lepidostoma podagrum (Little Brown Sedge) Caddisfly Larva Pictures

This egg packet was dropped from the specimen with the severely foreshortened abdomen in the other photo series. It's amazing how much abdominal length is given up in this process. The egg packet looked black in the hand.

This caddisfly was collected from the Fall River in California on May 12th, 2011 and added to Troutnut.com by Entoman on December 14th, 2011.
