This seems to be a young larva of Limnephilus. Although not clear in the picture, several ventral abdominal segments have chloride epithelia.

27" brown trout, my largest ever. It was the sub-dominant fish in its pool. After this, I hooked the bigger one, but I couldn't land it.

I took this picture on my way home from Homer, from one of the Denali overlooks on the Parks Highway a ways north of Talkeetna. That is an amazing drive at all times of year, and spring is no exception. The highest, most distant mountain visible is Denali / Mount McKinley, while the rest of the Alaska Range rises over the Chulitna River in the foreground. From Parks Highway in Alaska
