Baetis

Tiny Baetis mayflies are perhaps the most commonly encountered and imitated by anglers on all American trout streams due to their great abundance, widespread distribution, and trout-friendly emergence habits.

27" brown trout, my largest ever. It was the sub-dominant fish in its pool. After this, I hooked the bigger one, but I couldn't land it.

Found a fishing rod in my garage probably left there by my dad. The bottom cap is gone but the rest of the rod is in great condition nicely done. Someone told me prisoners made them years ago and the number stands for the prisoner that made it. Could this be possible? Does anyone know anything about this rod?
