27" brown trout, my largest ever. It was the sub-dominant fish in its pool. After this, I hooked the bigger one, but I couldn't land it.

Biography & Thoughts

I have been a fly fishing and tying instructor for about 7 years and have done some guiding throughout this time. I worked as a fisheries bioloigist for three years studying aquatic insects, trout, char and salmon in Washington State. I am now working on my masters degree at WSU in viticulture (I know, big change), but I still love to get out on the water to fish and take photographs.
