The famous nocturnal Hex hatch of the Midwest (and a few other lucky locations) stirs to the surface mythically large brown trout that only touch streamers for the rest of the year.
This one's stunned or freshly dead in the pictures, because the water in my photographing tank was a bit too warm for him after being under the bright light for a while.
