Tiny Baetis mayflies are perhaps the most commonly encountered and imitated by anglers on all American trout streams due to their great abundance, widespread distribution, and trout-friendly emergence habits.
After a few days of tiring legwork and mild frustration with the elk, I paused my cow elk hunt for one morning to recharge my batteries with some light trout fishing.
